I've driven past Omaq Char Kuay Teow countless times and it's always packed during dinner. Some have claimed that this is the best Char Kuay Teow Basah in Parit Buntar so let's try it out, shall we?
The outdoor seating area is relatively spacious with a nice view of the football field next door.

They have a self-service ordering system accessible via QR code. While the menu only features Char Kuay Teow, satay and drinks, they have a long list of saved customisations for each dish & drink. From less spicy to extra toppings, we took a while to navigate through the entire menu.
After ordering, we proceeded to pay at the counter. Pretty impressed by how organised everything is so far, they must be used to dealing with huge crowds.

Unfortunately, the wait for the food was 30-minute long. Maybe we were abit early for dinner (6pm) so only one chef was cooking for many hungry diners.
Let's makan!
Char Kuay Teow (4.5/5)
It arrived smelling heavenly and looking deliciously sloppy! The sauce packed a ton of prawn flavour and tasted extra rich when paired with the runny egg yolk. They were quite generous with the fresh prawns and cockles as well - and thank god for cockles that are not tiny. Compared to other Char Kuay Teow Basah I've tried, their version definitely packs more flavour and aroma.

Chicken & Beef Satay (2.5/5)
Despite my hunger, I didn't really enjoy this. Both the chicken and beef satay were so tough and chewy that I had trouble biting them off the sticks! The satay sticks were also really sticky from the marinade and made the entire dining experience quite unpleasant. Flavour-wise, the satay and peanut sauce were quite average.

Coconut Shake (3.5/5)
It didn't really stand out in my opinion - it was neither refreshing nor rich enough. But it was a decent enough drink/dessert to end the meal on a sweet note.

Overall, I enjoyed the Char Kuay Teow. The flavours were on point with so much sweetness from the fresh prawns and cockles. With endless customisations offered e.g. extra beansprouts, jumbo prawns, extra spicy, etc, I'm sure they can whip up a Char Kuay Teow to suit your taste buds! Worth a try if you're in town but I'd personally skip the satay and order another drink instead.
